Venice 2026: 20 Films in Main Competition, Polish Entry in Horizons Section
The Venice International Film Festival has unveiled its full programme for the 2026 edition, running 2–12 September. Twenty films will compete for the Golden Lion in the main competition, with the winner guaranteed a place on the Oscar shortlist for Best International Feature Film under new Academy rules. Poland is represented in the Horizons section with Grzegorz Dębowski's "Cudze rzeczy" starring Monika Kwiatkowska, and a second Polish film will screen out of competition.
