Artificial Sweeteners Linked to Faster Memory Decline — Study of 12,800 Adults

A large study published in the journal Neurology, covering 12,800 adults with an average age of 52, found that higher consumption of several types of artificial sweeteners was linked to faster cognitive decline, including memory loss. The sweeteners are commonly found in fizzy drinks and yoghurts. The findings were published by the American Academy of Neurology.
