Up to 5 cups of coffee a day safe for the heart, American Heart Association says
The American Heart Association (AHA) has published a new scientific statement in the journal "Circulation" concluding that drinking up to five cups of coffee a day is safe for most adults. The statement also suggests that regular coffee consumption may be linked to a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and heart failure. The findings represent a significant update to previous cardiology guidelines.
