Polish food inspectors pull Carrefour ham over listeria-causing bacteria
Poland's Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) has ordered a batch of pork ham sold at Carrefour to be withdrawn from sale after tests detected bacteria capable of causing listeriosis. The supermarket chain has issued a public warning to customers. Listeriosis is a serious infectious disease that can be life-threatening, especially for vulnerable groups.
