Poland overhauls sick leave rules: changes from April 2025, more from 2027

New sick leave regulations in Poland took effect in April 2025, clarifying what employees may do while on sick leave and expanding employer and ZUS inspection powers. From 2027, new rules will govern issuing sick notes for people working multiple jobs. The method of calculating sick pay and accounting for the first day of absence is also changing.
