From 2027, sick leave in Poland won't bar work at a second job

New sick leave regulations came into force in Poland in April 2026, clarifying what activities are allowed during medical leave and expanding the Social Insurance Institution's (ZUS) inspection powers. From 2027, further changes will apply to people employed in more than one place: they will be able to work for another employer during sick leave if the certificate does not cover that particular job. The reforms are designed to reflect the realities of a multi-employment labour market.
