AI blood test CardiOmicScore predicts heart disease risk 15 years in advance
Researchers at the University of Hong Kong have developed an AI-powered blood test called CardiOmicScore that analyses thousands of proteins and metabolites to predict the risk of six major cardiovascular diseases — including heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation — up to 15 years before they occur. Unlike static genetic risk scores, the test reflects a person's current health, lifestyle, and environment. The breakthrough could enable far earlier preventive intervention.
