Taco Bell shredded lettuce in 5 US states linked to cyclospora outbreak

The CDC and FDA have confirmed that shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia is the source of a widespread cyclospora outbreak. The parasite causes prolonged diarrhea and was traced to a single supplier from Mexico, whose name federal officials did not disclose. Consumers in the affected states have been warned to avoid the product.
