FDA to inspect Mexican farms after Cyclospora lettuce contamination at Taco Bell
The FDA plans to inspect farms and a lettuce shredding facility in Mexico to determine how lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms to Taco Bell became contaminated with the Cyclospora parasite. Investigators also aim to trace where the contaminated produce was distributed. Cyclospora causes gastrointestinal illness and can spread through contaminated food or water.
