Shackleton's last ship found draped in fishing nets and teeming with life
Ernest Shackleton's ship "Quest," discovered in 2024 off northeastern Canada, has been photographed up close for the first time, revealing a hull covered in discarded fishing gear and colonised by corals, anemones and fish. The vessel sank decades ago and commercial fishing above the wreck left behind significant debris. The site now serves as an artificial reef teeming with marine life.
