Spanish court convicts PM Sánchez's brother over unfair public job allocation

The Badajoz Provincial Court ruled on Tuesday that officials unlawfully allocated a public position to the brother of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, labelling it an "unethical practice." The verdict deepens Sánchez's already contentious relationship with the judiciary, which he has long accused of politically motivated "lawfare" against him and his family. Conservative judges, he claims, are interfering in politics and damaging the justice system.
