Prof. Ursula Mueller-Werdan of Berlin's Charité hospital warns that ignoring the body's warning signals after the age of 50 and dismissing them as normal ageing is a serious mistake. The specialist argues that the right lifestyle habits adopted after 50 — without costly diets or extreme exercise — can extend life by up to 10 years. As little as 15 minutes of daily activity is enough to significantly improve health outcomes, she says.
