Cyclospora parasite outbreak surpasses 1,000 cases in the US with source unidentified

An outbreak of the diarrhea-causing parasite Cyclospora in the United States has grown to more than 1,000 confirmed cases. No deaths have been reported, but health authorities have not yet identified the source of the infections. Investigations are ongoing to trace the origin and transmission route of the pathogen.
