Biologist Selosse: biodiversity loss is a defining threat to humanity
French biologist Marc-André Selosse, a professor at the French National Museum of Natural History and the University of Gdańsk, warns that biodiversity destruction is one of the defining challenges of our time. In his new book "De la biodiversité comme un humanisme," he argues that nature must be protected for humanity's own sake. He criticises politicians, noting that biodiversity accounted for just 1% of debate during France's 2022 presidential election campaign.
