Trans fats banned in Denmark for 20 years — Poles still unknowingly consuming them

Denmark was the first country in the world to almost entirely eliminate industrial trans fats from shops over 20 years ago by introducing strict legal limits. EU regulations have since followed, but Poles still frequently and unknowingly consume these substances, hidden in popular sweets, ready meals and snacks. Trans fats are strongly linked to cardiovascular disease.
