Don Iwerks, Disney camera and projection pioneer, dies aged 96

Don Iwerks, a pioneering figure in camera and projection technology at The Walt Disney Company, has died at the age of 96. In 1997 he received the Gordon E. Sawyer Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and in 2009 he was named a Disney Legend. He was a key figure behind the development of film technology at the studio.
