New York Times sues federal agency EEOC for alleged retaliation

The New York Times has filed a lawsuit against the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), alleging the federal agency is retaliating against the newspaper. The EEOC filed its own suit in May, claiming NYT discriminated against a white male employee who was passed over for a promotion. The Times denies the discrimination allegations and frames the federal action as an attack on press freedom.
