A year after Ząbki fire: residents still paying mortgages on uninhabitable burnt-out flats
One year after a devastating fire destroyed a residential block in Ząbki near Warsaw, the victims still cannot return to their homes. They continue to pay mortgages on the uninhabitable flats while also covering rent for temporary accommodation, and some have received no insurance compensation at all. Desperate residents wrote to the Prime Minister for help, saying they have been forgotten.
