Over 700 parasite diarrhoea cases in Michigan with no source found yet

Michigan health authorities reported over 700 cases of a diarrhoea-causing intestinal parasite as of July 6, along with 36 hospitalisations, since the outbreak began on June 22. Case numbers surged rapidly: from 170 on June 30 to 572 by July 4. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the source of the outbreak has not yet been identified.
