Invasive tree of heaven destroying Polish flora – can be cut without a permit

The tree of heaven (Ailanthus altissima) is one of the most invasive tree species in Poland, rapidly colonising new areas and killing surrounding vegetation with toxins. Authorities have made combating the species a priority. Property owners can remove it without needing a permit.
