Polish Labour Inspectorate gains power to rule on employment status from Wednesday
From Wednesday, Poland's State Labour Inspectorate (PIP) will have the power to formally determine the existence of an employment relationship through an administrative decision, targeting bogus self-employment and junk contracts. Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk said the scale of planned inspections could be significant. The reform is designed to protect workers hired on civil-law contracts instead of standard employment agreements.
