Eat fibre at breakfast for maximum health benefits, research shows
Research increasingly shows that fibre is most effective when consumed at breakfast, stabilising blood sugar levels, sustaining energy and suppressing hunger for hours. According to the USDA, only 4% of men and 12% of women meet the recommended daily intake of 21–38 grams of fibre. A chronic fibre deficit is linked to heart disease, diabetes and obesity.
