"End of the World" in Greater Poland – a village with just one resident
Koniec Świata ("End of the World") is a hamlet of the village of Głuszyna in Kraszewice commune, Ostrzeszów County, southern Greater Poland, with only one permanent resident. Besides the resident's house, there are just two holiday cottages, surrounded by fields and forests and reached by an unpaved road that becomes difficult after heavy rain. The name comes from old military maps where this corner of Głuszyna was marked as the "edge of the world". It lies about 40 km from Kalisz and can be reached from Wrocław in under two hours.
