Bronze Age rock art links Iberia and Scandinavia 3,000 years ago

A team of archaeologists from the UK, Sweden and Portugal has identified direct similarities between Bronze Age rock art depicting boats in north-western Iberia and equivalent carvings from Scandinavia. The findings suggest direct maritime contact between the two regions approximately 3,000 years ago. The research was published in the journal PLOS One.
