Poland may hit 40°C — climatologist warns Sunday will be peak heat day
Climatologist Prof. Bogdan Chojnicki of Poznań University of Life Sciences says a cold-air barrier that had been shielding Poland has now broken down, allowing African air masses to spread across the whole continent. The peak of the heatwave is expected on Sunday, with temperatures potentially reaching 40°C in Poland. Spain, France and the UK had already seen record-breaking heat earlier.
