Bots are winning the ticket wars — but scalping goes deeper than automation
Automated bots have become the primary target in the fight against ticket scalping, snapping up concert and train tickets in fractions of a second before regular users can react. However, experts warn that bots are only part of the problem — the secondary ticketing market has deeper, structural flaws that automation alone does not explain. Tackling bots without addressing those underlying issues may not solve the crisis for ordinary fans and travellers.
