Russian Yabloko party official sentenced to 7 years in penal colony over social media posts
A Moscow court sentenced Maxim Kruglov, vice-chairman of the liberal Yabloko party, to seven years in a penal colony on Wednesday. He was found guilty of spreading false information about the Russian Armed Forces, based on posts he made on social media platforms.
