Oil drops below $80, but eurozone inflation hits 3-year high
A week after a preliminary US–Iran agreement, oil prices dipped below $80 per barrel and European gas settled around €40/MWh. However, eurozone inflation has hit its highest level in nearly three years. UniCredit economists warn that the impact of the Iranian energy shock will continue to weigh on European consumers for several more months.
