Fuel prices to rise after June 30 as government drops price-cap package
Energy Minister Miłosz Motyka announced that falling commodity prices on global markets mean the "Ceny Paliwa Niżej" (Lower Fuel Prices) package will not be extended beyond June 30. Drivers are advised to fill up before the end of the month, as pump prices are expected to rise once the scheme expires. The package had been shielding consumers from high fuel costs.
