Oxford astronomers find Jupiter-sized planets 30 times lighter than Jupiter
Astronomers from the University of Oxford and partner institutions have described two extraordinary planets that are roughly the size of Jupiter but weigh 30 times less, making them less dense than candy floss. The discovery challenges existing models of planetary formation and expands the known range of exoplanet diversity.
