Red-and-black firebugs in your garden are beneficial – never kill them
The firebug (Pyrrhocoris apterus), despite its alarming appearance, is one of the most beneficial insects found in Polish gardens. It feeds on plant debris and weed seeds, contributing to natural garden maintenance. Firebugs can now be found across all of Poland, and killing them is both unnecessary and harmful to the local ecosystem.
