Polish construction output up 3.9% in May — below forecasts; industrial inflation 3-year high
Polish construction and assembly output rose 3.9% year-on-year in May 2026, falling short of the economists' median forecast of 5.1%, according to data released by Statistics Poland (GUS) on Monday. At the same time, industrial inflation hit its highest level in three years. The figures may signal a cooling in construction activity alongside rising cost pressures.
