Six thousand rally in Magdeburg against AfD ahead of Saxony-Anhalt vote

Around six thousand people gathered in Magdeburg for the "Festival of Democracy" rally on the eve of Saxony-Anhalt state elections. Protesters opposed the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which could form a regional government for the first time if it wins the vote. Demonstrators carried banners with slogans defending democratic values.
