OpenAI rolls out GPT-6 Astra upgrade for ChatGPT and Codex

OpenAI has released GPT-6 Astra, the successor to its GPT-5 family, as a major upgrade to ChatGPT and Codex. The model first rolled out to Business and Pro subscribers (at $100 and $200 per month respectively), with Plus users on the $20/month plan gaining access a few hours later. It is the company's first major model upgrade in over a year.
