U.S. gasoline hits record high for Labor Day weekend at $4.03 a gallon

The national average gasoline price in the United States was forecast to hit a record $4.03 per gallon on Labor Day, surpassing the previous holiday record of $3.83 per gallon set in 2012, according to GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan.
