Spatial planning reform from 1 September — land prices may rise in coming months
A reform of Poland's spatial planning system took effect on 1 September and may reduce the supply of development projects in municipalities that have not yet adopted a general plan. Expert Jarosław Jędrzyński of RynekPierwotny.pl says there will be no immediate investment paralysis, but the reform's effects may become visible in land prices over the coming months. Municipalities without a general plan will lose the ability to issue certain building permits.
