European gas prices surge — Polish households may feel the impact from 2027

Rising natural gas prices in Europe could push up electricity and heating costs. Polish households are shielded by URE-approved tariffs until end of 2026, but rates for 2027 will depend on how long high commodity prices persist and how severe the coming winter is. Daniel Kostecki of CMC Markets warns that more expensive gas could raise import costs, electricity bills and future tariffs.
