Knyba Beats Ruiz Jr. on Points After Knocking Him Down in Round 7
Damian Knyba from Bydgoszcz defeated Andy Ruiz Jr. by unanimous judges' decision after 12 rounds. The 30-year-old Pole knocked Ruiz down in the seventh round; had the referee not intervened, the fight would have ended there by knockout. His promoter called it the most valuable Polish victory in heavyweight boxing history.
