Berlin refused to pay ransom — hackers leak 1.4 million stolen records

Hackers who broke into Berlin's municipal IT systems in early August have published the stolen data on the dark web after the city refused to pay the demanded ransom. According to radio station rbb24, 1.4 million data records were leaked. Berlin chose not to meet the criminals' demands.
