Molecular aging is unique to each person, even among same-age peers

Researchers at King's College London found that molecular aging differs significantly between people of identical chronological age, even twins born the same day. Gene activity and metabolite levels can shift in opposite directions in people of the same age. Genetics, environmental exposures and daily biological rhythms may drive these differences. The findings, published in Science, challenge efforts to measure aging with a single "biological age" score.
