Haze from Indonesian wildfires blankets Malaysia and the Philippines

Massive wildfires in Indonesia, fuelled by a powerful El Niño, are blanketing parts of Malaysia and the Philippines in thick haze. The fires could mark one of Indonesia's worst fire seasons in years, raising fears of a regional public health crisis. Air quality in neighbouring countries has deteriorated significantly as a result.
