OpenAI Builds Humanoid Robot; Altman Takes on Tesla and Chinese AI Giants

Sam Altman has officially confirmed that OpenAI is developing an autonomous humanoid robot. The company thus enters direct competition with Tesla's Optimus, Google DeepMind and a wave of Chinese humanoid robot manufacturers. OpenAI has until now focused on AI software, making the move into robotics a significant expansion of its business.
