Israeli minister unveils plan to remove Gaza's 2 million Palestinians
Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir unveiled a plan to remove all Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and send them abroad. The proposal envisages 250,000 departures in the first year, with the remaining roughly two million residents displaced over the following six years. Forced displacement of civilians in occupied territory is considered a war crime under the Geneva Conventions. The announcement came ahead of closely contested Israeli elections.
