China suppresses information on flood death toll along Nepal border

More than a week after deadly flash floods along the China-Nepal border, Chinese authorities have maintained a near-total information blackout on casualties and missing persons. Nepal's side has been releasing victim names and rescue updates, while practically nothing is known about the toll on the Chinese side. The true death toll in China remains unknown.
