Mass burials after Algeria wildfires raise doubts about true death toll

Wildfires tore through northeastern Algeria in late August. Photos and videos of the mass burial of several dozen people have raised questions about the real death toll, as Algerian authorities have not updated figures since August 26. Several Moroccan social media accounts have also been spreading disinformation about the fires.
