Polish Sejm approves up to 1 billion PLN extra for widows' pensions from KRUS

Poland's Sejm passed an amendment enabling the transfer of up to 1 billion PLN in additional funds to the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) for the payment of widows' and widowers' pensions. The change is intended to ensure uninterrupted payment of benefits for surviving spouses covered by the agricultural insurance system. The bill now goes to the president for signature.
