Poland deploys 15,000 troops and drones to eastern border defence component

Poland is establishing a new Border Defence Component of 15,000 soldiers to support operational forces and secure the Eastern Shield programme. Four brigades will receive drones, battlefield radars, FPV drone production labs, additional anti-tank weapons and the first Grot A3 assault rifles. The unit is designed to counter sabotage and hybrid threats, according to Maj. Gen. Krzysztof Stańczyk.
