New sandy island emerges in the Baltic Sea near the Vistula estuary

A new sandy island has naturally formed near the Mewia Łacha nature reserve close to Mikoszewo, at the mouth of the Vistula River on the Baltic coast. The island emerged through natural sediment accumulation and quickly became a talking point across Polish social media. Internet users are competing to suggest names for the new landmass.
