Ryanair cuts passenger target, warns of sharp European fare rises
Ryanair has cut its passenger target for the financial year ending 31 March, from 216 million to 214 million customers. The move aims to reduce exposure to costly, unhedged winter fuel during the loss-making low season. Jet fuel currently stands at $140 per barrel. The Irish carrier warns that European airfares could rise sharply as a result.
