VW may shut four German plants — some production could move to Poland

A leaked 147-page restructuring plan for the Volkswagen Group envisages the possible end of car production at four German factories. Several models would survive, with successors to be built at cheaper plants in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The plan represents one of the most significant capacity-reduction proposals in the group's history.
